I don't even want an SNES Classic. I got an NES Classic but grew bored of it quickly... I guess Virtual Console kinda ruined it for me cause I had played most of the games I wanted from that recently.

I sincerely hope this is the case. Let's not forget that Reggie also said that ongoing demand for the NES Classic would be met back in January, before Nintendo surprised us all with the news that it was being discontinued.
With that said, I am personally willing to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt on this one. We are mere weeks away from the system's release, so might as well have a positive attitude until then.

I think the real issue with the NES Classic was the price. Nintendo was clearly unprepared for the demand, and realized after its release they could have sold it at a higher price. We're seeing this with the SNES classic, which is $20 bucks more ($10 if you want to count the extra controller towards the price) and less games.
I'm super hyped for SNES Classic so I don't mean any of that as a criticism, but I think that's what happened with NES Classic. They underestimated it, and decided to pull the plug on it in order to make more money off the classics line with SNES. I believe this go around, we WILL be able to get a SNES more easily.

What's transparent is how defensive you and your insane clown posse gets whenever Nintendo is insulted, as if you guys are married to Nintendo. The deflections are often to rare or one off examples, technical semantics, things people also criticize the other two for, or examples of complete desperation, like the breakable Giant Knife argument.

Even if the supply is far greater than the NES Classic, the demand probably is too, and you didn't even come close to meeting it last time. Heck, you still aren't fully meeting the Switch demand and you put out another 3DS iteration. Maybe focus on one thing at a time, make sure everyone can get one, and then move on to the next. I'm sure we all could have waited until next year for the SNES Classic.

And as i've said before, their "original intent" doesn't matter. When something is a breakout success you didn't expect, especially something that's as cheap and easy to produce as these units, you don't just say "Well that was unexpected" and keep with the original plan, you milk that cash cow for all it's worth. You ESPECIALLY don't say that you're going to keep it going for several more months only to discontinue it less than a month after that statement. It's not professional, it's not frugal, it's just not smart.
DS was "originally planned" to be a third pillar. What happened was the second-highest selling non-PC gaming platform of all time that buried the prior second pillar in a couple year's time. All in all Ill believe it when i see it. They are known for under shipping products using the excuse that they didnt know, and i dont believe for a second that they actually learn their lesson from the Nes Classic. Well, there shouldn't have been that many produced. It was conceived as a collector's item and produced as such. It they want to change that for SNES classic, then fine. All said, they produced exactly as many as they should have.

When something is a breakout success you didn't expect, especially something that's as cheap and easy to produce as these units, you don't just say "Well that was unexpected" and keep with the original plan, you milk that cash cow for all it's worth. You ESPECIALLY don't say that you're going to keep it going for several more months only to discontinue it less than a month after that statement. It's not professional, it's not frugal, it's just not smart.
DS was "originally planned" to be a third pillar. What happened was the second-highest selling non-PC gaming platform of all time that buried the prior second pillar in a couple year's time. They saw a success, shifted gears, and made bank. Smart business sense.

Ignoring my main point that their plans changed regardless. If they wanted their three-pillar system, the GBA wouldn't have been killed off so fast. Also nobody is claiming the Classics line are major platforms.
