Bloodborne' technical problems are extremely minor and certainly don't hamper the experience in the slightest.
Bloodborne runs like crap compared to Bethesda's games while managing to look significantly worse and is much less complex. Bethesda's games really only run poorly on the PS3, they're fine on every other system. They don't have frame pacing issues, they don't have to rely on post processing to hide anything because they can actually design a game that looks good and runs decently. The only time their games have truly run poorly was because of the PS3's memory architecture.
The technical issues in Bloodborne do hamper the experience. The frame pacing makes it hard to time attacks or dodges correctly at times, and the amount of stuttering can be pretty distracting at times, enough to actually diminish the experience for some people.(edited 13 hours ago)quoteBloodborne runs like crap compared to Bethesda's games

Not even close. They run extremely well on PC, Skyrim is easily one of the most optimized games in recent history especially when taking SLI support into account, and they're stable on current gen systems. They don't stutter and skip like Bloodborne does. They may have some frame rate drops on consoles, not any worse than Bloodborne and they don't have frame pacing issues, but they actually have a halfway decent motion blur solution that does a good job of hiding all but the most severe drops. Bloodborne does notI agree with the first three, the rest range between highly questionable and wrongI don't just sell stuff, I am actually involved in these.

And here we are counting all relevant sites hence why Bioshock took it
There are just too many sites shelling out awards.
We need something official, à la Oscars/Academy Awards. These are the numbers of fucks I gave for GotY winners from 2003 to 2016:
2003 ZERO
2004 ZERO
2005 ZERO
2006 ZERO
2007 ZERO
2008 ZERO
2009 ZERO
2010 ZERO
2011 ZERO
2012 ZERO (Though it was a pretty shitty year if Walking Dead won)
2013 ZERO
2014 ZERO
2015 ZERO
2016 ZERO
And here's a prediction for the future, as for the number of fucks I'll also give to 2017 GotY winner:
2017 ZEROInsert funny / cool / original / meaningful quote here.@SaturnSnowman posted...Mr_Big_Boss posted...

No Nintendo games? Seems biased.
2002 was the last time they had a real contender for GOTY. They have 2017 locked though.
Pretty sure Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy were both incredibly well-liked by just about every review website the years they came out. To say they aren't even contenders is a lie.
pretty clear from the list in the OP that quality is not a determining factor in this discussion...
I mean, look at all the quality Wii U games in 2014 (its only good year) yet DA:I won GOTY.... thats a joke lol. Then we see Walking Dead in there, what the fuck is this?
Then add the fact that we are supposed to be counting up individual awards in here just to show that ND is so great.... its sad tbh"Besides the multiplatforms and exclusives, what else was there on PS4?" - Karmic Dragon2003Comyx posted...GamingGod posted...

Super Mario Galaxy received Game of the Year 2007 awards from various big and influential game media such as IGN, gamespot, kotaku, gametrailers, edge, famitsu, gamerankings,
even gamefaqs readers chosen it as 2007's goty.
TC just fanboyed out the list to exclude it.
Dude are you fucking serious? Even I thought it was Mario Galaxy till I saw an actual site that keep tabs on things like this and proved beyond all reasonable doubt that it was Bioshock
The most popular sites gave it to Mario Galaxy but the majority when counting less popular sites gave it to Bioshock

AgreedYou want facts? I bring themwell geoff keighley's game awards wants to be the oscars of video games but still fail at it.
the problem with goty awards is that some of these so called 'gaming medias' are clearly biased. Some of them are 1 platform only. Like PC gamer for example.(edited 1 hour ago)quoteOnly games I've completed off that list are the Uncharted games.First comes smiles, then lies. Am I missing something? Three Bethesda games, three ND games.
When calculating all awards
Tlou is actually the 2nd most awarded game ever
So people with no taste AND no understanding of originality got it.Here comes a New Web Comic for gamers, BY a gamer, Critique is welcomed as long as you are positive about it.

Originality dsnt mean quality. Something already popular can still be done in a way it trumps everything else. Including the so called originalsYou want facts? I bring themCobra1010 posted...SaturnSnowman posted...
No Nintendo games? Seems biased.
If nintendos zelda were multiplat, im sure wind waker would be a dominant goty.
But sadly Nintendo are too greedy to share. Well its not like they can help it. They only have a few titles to move their consoles to stay afloat in this brutal competitive gaming market.
Surely you feel the same about all exclusives (that companies with exclusives are greedy)? Otherwise that'd be hypocritical. :)
And you know Nintendo has far and away the most exclusive IPs of the big three, right?
That being said, half the list is good and half is awful. RDR, both Uncharted games, etc. are good. DA:I though? Wretched.Play games, not companies.(edited 13 minutes ago)quote- Boards
- PlayStation 4
