I was going to prattle off a list of ideas, but there wasn't enough room.

I have plenty, but yeah, not enough room and I don't want to ramble about just a few of them.

Link's Awakening is the DX version though, so color dungeon and pictures are there. Maybe throw in the original too with all the bugs the DX version fixed, minus the "literally destroys the game" aspects of the screen warp glitch.

Since they're releasing unreleased games now, I'd rather see Mystical Seed of Courage, the missing Oracle game, get a release.
Mods are pathetic SJWs who abuse their administrative abilities and couldn't muster a logical defense for their actions to save their lives. Worthless.

Only if they use more of the buttons so you're not going to the sub-screen every three seconds. My idea is that the Feather, Bracelet, and Boots are permanently equipped once found and the Shield gets its own button, so:

B - Sword
X and Y - Use equipped items
A - Talk/Read/Open Chest/Jump (after finding Feather)
R - Lift (after finding Bracelet)/Dash (after finding Boots)
L - Shield

Whether or not that'd be worth the effort on their end would depend on how much of it was finished. Star Fox 2 was basically done by the time it got canned.

Really, I think it'd be worth it just for the sake of having the Oracle games talk to each other instead of having to fumble around with secrets.

I also just really want an extra secret dungeon that is so ridiculous that you basically need the Master Sword and Red Ring to stand a chance of beating the nutbars in there, since those two together in the base games are so insanely overpowered that it just saps anything resembling challenge right out.

And a hazard that literally only exists in that dungeon to give you something to do with the Mirror Shield because man is that pointless as is. Sure it blocks Beamos, but there aren't that many of them in the first place.

They did? The fishing mini-game was crap, but it was optional; that's the only thing I can notice that was considerably s***ty.

they missed up the zora swimming and changed the bosses to the point where the fierce deities mask became useless and made going for it pointless some do not mind the changes but what they did to the bosses and how it made the fierce deities mask useless ruined the game for me

one of the thing i loved to do in majoras mask is once every year i would beat it and everyday for the next few months i would do speed runs with the fierce deities mask and try to take on all the bosses and see how how fast i could make it through all 5 bosses and one of the things i always wanted was to do it on a portable system but the 3ds remake ruined that

Ahhh... good times. I remember I drew up dungeon maps and items when I was little for my own "third" Oracle game.

Dude what are you talking about? The remakes made so many improvements that I can't even stand playing the original anymore.

I don't think it's unreleased though. Wasn't it completely scrapped and most of its themes absorbed into OoA

How? They made the basic swimming like TP and had the old style attached to the electric shield.

The old style knocked you back if you so much as scraped a wall which wasnt great. as the two main story places you use it(great bay temple and pirate fort) have very cramped tunnels.

It's significantly slower and the game was made with the faster speed of the old style in mind with how the Great Bay is.

Basically means you have to go get drunk or you're going to have a tedious time.

I dig how the bank was moved and how Shiggy just gives you the Bomber's Notebook, though by that point they should've just made you automatically give the Bomber Code to the kid once you have it instead of having to manually put it in still.

I can nail the Postman's minigame blind (without the bunny hood) on the N64 version, but I think the 3DS is at a higher framerate or something, so it's more complicated.

But frankly, I don't remember anything about MM3D. I thiiink I finished it, but I'm not entirely sure.

Unfortunately, Oracles might no longer be an interquel to A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening if Nintendo Dream Magazine is to be believed (probably not, but it's 50/50 until Nintendo reconfirms one way or the other), so a remake of the two that includes Link's Awakening may not make as much thematic sense, not to mention one is developed by Nintendo EAD and the other by lol Capcom.

Better idea:

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons DX

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages DX

and...

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Secrets
Whoever started using the word "canon" in this context, anyway?

They have significant enough aesthetic similarities that shoving them together would be fine, I think. The graphic style is identical, irrespective of the reason (that being "Game Boy/Color"), and the Game Boy and Game Boy Color are close enough that I don't think anyone would really bat an eye if LADX and Oracles were lumped together in a trio. Hell, they could even have a little fun and add a Vasu's to Link's Awakening. There are still no rings to be found in LA, but he can import your rings and Ring Box from an Ages or Seasons save to let you use them in Link's Awakening.

I also would want the Oracles to be on the same cart/in the same package to make it easy for them to talk to each other. Like instead of "Tell the old man under the clock shop this secret. Ez#@!", it's just "Give a message to the old man under the clock shop.", and when you go there in Seasons, instead of having you put in nonsense it just checks if you've talked to the old lady, and if you have, carries on.

If you pair that with being able to have both games open simultaneously (one is frozen while the other is active), then it's about as perfect of a system as it can be.

I was figuring just have all the face buttons usable for items, have the touch screen active as an always-open inventory (though you can still pause to fiddle around using buttons, drag something from the equipment to an empty space to unequip it), and have L+R do something weird like if you press them both together, it acts like Halo and changes the game back to old fashioned graphics on the fly.

Eh, no. I would prefer it if all the mobility upgrades are permanently equipped and set to designated buttons. It makes it feel more integrated than "pause to equip feather, use feather to jump gap, pause again to equip bracelet, use bracelet to lift pot" and so on.

That's a factor because you only have two slots.

Real quick, I'll just go over how many items are in the game. Depending on how you look at it, there's either 15 and 16, or there's 22 and 25. The 15/16 discrepancy is because Seasons' equivalent to the Cane of Somaria, the Magical Boomerang, replaces the normal Boomerang. Since the normal Boomerang still exists in Ages (it's a prize in Target Carts after the Rock Brisket, if you need refreshing), that means that Seasons will have one more item slot empty than Ages will once you have everything. The 22 and 25 numbers come in if you count each variant of the Seed Satchel, Seed Shooter, Slingshot/Hyper Slingshot (since Hyper overrides normal), and Harp of Ages as different items.

Also LA has 12-14 items, 14 if you count the Ocarina songs as items, but I forgot about it as I wrote that.

That being said, you simply do not have much room for equipping items, and that gets complicated sometimes. Depending on how many usable buttons are utilized, your equipment space can be doubled (ABXY), tripled (ABXYLR), or even quadrupled (ABXYLR, ZL, and ZR), and if you really want static items nothing is preventing you from just sticking them where you want them and leaving them there.

The only cross-up above is with the boots and bracelet, so yeah, I guess that's true.

Edit - Also, I said to make the touch screen a realtime inventory. They've done that a couple times already, I think? It'd work again.

Would also be nice to be able to equip multiple seeds at once.

You only need two slots when the sword and the mobility items are each perma-set to their own context-sensitive buttons, like in ALttP. The idea is to reduce the constant need to equip items to buttons when it comes to simple things like lifting pots or jumping holes, so this helps streamline things a bit.

Sailor_Razor 18 hours ago#26
So why can't you just do that yourself by setting them and leaving them where they are with the expanded inventory?

Not very helpful to make the Power Glove permanently tie up an item slot when you're fighting Ganon, you know. Or really any boss that isn't Pumpkinhead or Ramrock.
Maetch 18 hours ago#27
Except they're NOT item slots. They're action buttons.

I'd buy a lot of remakes in a heartbeat and this is one of them

I'd like to see windwaker and re4 ported as well but those are major pipe dreams despite the n3ds having the power to easily do so.
