Early in development, we decided to focus Mass Effect: Andromeda’s story on the Pathfinder, the exploration of the Andromeda galaxy, and the conflict with the Archon. The game was designed to further expand on the Pathfinder’s journey through this new galaxy with story-based APEX multiplayer missions and we will continue to tell stories in the Andromeda Galaxy through our upcoming comics and novels, including the fate of the quarian ark.
Our last update, 1.10, was the final update for Mass Effect: Andromeda. There are no planned future patches for single-player or in-game story content.
In the coming weeks, our multiplayer team will provide details of their ongoing support and upcoming content, including new multiplayer missions, character kits, and what’s in store for N7 Day.

For the 20 or $30 you can find it for now, definitely. The combat is great, and multiplayer is fun. Everything else is a mixed bag and depends on how anal you are, and how much you compare it to the first trilogy. As someone who came into the series with Andromeda, it feels worth the $60 for me. Exploring the different environments is actually fun, again the combat is some of the best I've seen in a shooter, and they can be cheesy but I like the characters. @SSJGrimReaper posted...

It didn't really flop. 7/10 in reviews isn't the best, but far from bad. And it's one of the top 5 or 6 best selling games of this entire year which means it sold 4 million at the very least which isn't bad either.

:( f*** EA for not giving Mass Effect any respect. They did the same s*** with Mirror's Edge. Why the hell even allow sequels to be made if they are going to be passed off to D teams and poorly promoted? Who exactly are you pleasing?

At this particular point in time I honestly think shutting the whole thing down is more respectful than making sequels to Andromeda and allowing that to be Mass Effect's legacy (until they decide to reboot it in 10 years)

Not surprised tbh. If they'd released any SP DLC, people would complain about why they're releasing anything when the base game isn't up to par and it would do more harm than good. Glad they're still supporting multiplayer at least, it's still pretty great.

Face it Cloud is a gaming icon and has appered in lots of games while mario has only appeared in 2 games sunshine and 64~xSlashbomBx

Well obviously, if you buy the game you've bought it. If you play the multiplayer there's still room for the random loot crate progression falls so poorly for you that you'll get pissed off enough to spend real money on premium currency... to buy more lootboxes.

I'm talking about Andromeda itself. I don't think it was as bad as everyone said and I actually enjoyed it, but it's just shameful how that game was made. Made by the worst Bioware had to offer, poor promotion, no E3 presence, pushed out the door in an especially unfinished state. And then they dropped the franchise like a bad habit almost immediately. Why did they even bother in the first place?

I'm not surprised, but I can't say I'm not sad that this has happened. I actually did enjoy the gameplay, I love the worlds and the exploration. But despite all that, I just could not get into the characters (Drack's the only one I really liked) not even my own and that was ABSOLUTELY crucial in a game like this for me. And thus I could not finish it. Oh well :l

EA sure as f*** think it flopped.
Not meeting expectations =/= flop Plus based on what was leaked and said in interviews, sounds as if they gave the game to a new team with not enough resources and rushed the game out before it was done to move on to other projects (probably Anthem). So they probably settled on no dlc to begin with. Nothing shy of being the best game of the year by a large margin probably wouldn't have changed their direction.

The "SJW" problems were a minor issue with the game. The biggest problem was too much bloat such as pointless side quests. Also, the lack of priority on some things such as Asari literally only having two faces throughout the whole game.

The main problems were the concept, the execution, the story, the characters, the rehash of ideas and even JOKES from the original trilogy, the thousands of glitches, the awful UI, the timesink crafting system, the awful looking models, the s***ty animations.
