What's the translation comparable to? Like FFVII bad or worse?

Eh. I've played (I think) every Ys game ever released, included the Super Famicom ones, and I think the story is pretty garbage for all of them. They're worth it for the gameplay, but the translation seems like a minor thing.

PC being pushed back to December isn't all that awful I guess... still got Cyber Nep Nep, Nights of Azure 2, Mary Skelter, and then Schoolgirl Zombie Hunters in November

Using ellipses in any sense other than academic (in which case it has its own character rather than being three periods in a row, and can only be used to omit part of a quotation) requires nothing other than consistency within the work.

Face it Cloud is a gaming icon and has appered in lots of games while mario has only appeared in 2 games sunshine and 64~xSlashbomBx

Wow, I knew it would be a mess, but how badly did they fuck it up? it was so bad, Ys and Falcom fans held an email campaign to inform Nihon Falcom about the bad localization. it got so big that Japanese news outlets started reporting the story. pretty sure Falcom is forcing NISA to apologize and re-edit the script since NISA pretty much never does anything to fix their shitty localizations. |
