Pro Controller Support

There are people who don’t like motion controls. 

There are people who don’t like the JoyCon controllers. 

There are people who only briefly owned a Wii and never owned a WiiU. We may not be familiar with some games or franchises and their features or gimmicks. 

There are people who don’t game on the DS brand, so again, they may not be into certain games or series.

I use the Pro controller and prefer to play on the TV. I dislike motion controls. I dislike the JoyCon. If I saw TWEWY and was like, “Oh, cool, a new game for Switch,” and then I get the game and get home and can’t play it with the Pro, I’m screwed. Mind you, I’m not saying the game should change or cater to me. If that’s the devs’ vision and intention, then so be it. I skip the game and move on. However, I still worry that it sets a precedent if certain games do well without Pro support. It tells Nintendo and devs that that style is profitable, and that limits me as a consumer sometimes. To those who enjoy it, enjoy the game. To some of us, it’s a disappointment.

I own 3 Pro Controllers -- one of each official color, which means one Black ver, one Splatoon ver, one Xenoblade 2 ver. I'll have 4 soon when Smash Bros version releases.

While I love the Switch Pro Controller and it's my favorite controller of the past few gens, playing with Joy-Con is not the night and day difference the above naysayers and people like them wish to mislead others into thinking.

Yes, it's a minor inconvenience if I'm playing with friends and I have to use Joy-Con while they use my 3 Pro Cons (because I'm a nice guy and usually the best player of our group anyway). But is it game breakingly different to have to use dual Joy-Cons vs a Pro Con? No, it ain't, and the fact that the system comes with a pair of Joy-Cons AND an adapter to use them like a regular controller = quit your fuckin cryin, cuz you people weren't even going to get the game anyway if the only reason you're refusing to get it now is because of Pro Controller support.
