Wenger recently won Arsenal the FA Cup. Miyamoto continues to produce great games.

The comparison isn't valid. They're far from bad.

Try not to speak for everyone when you voice your opinion. Some fans disagree. Not all. Some. A person/product isn't automatically bad or hated because a percentage of people don't love who or whatever is being discussed. It's normal for this to be the case.

The comparison isn't valid because Wenger was an athlete and he cannot meet the physical demands of his old job in his old age. Whereas Miyamoto always had bad ideas (Seriously. Look up his original idea for the camera mode he had for OoT.....) but people were more willing to tell them they suck in the past and filter them out.

So if anything, he's more like George Lucas. But George Lucas knew when it was time to call it quits and sold the rights to his franchise, then donated those billions to charity.

.....

So, George Lucas without knowing when to quit or being a decent human being. That's Miyamoto.

If people told Miyamoto to change shit in his projects, and he did, then he's absolutely nothing like George Lucas. With Lucas, he basically surrounded himself with people who agreed with every decision he made, no matter how bad it was. The prequel trilogy ended up the way it did because Lucas hired so many yes-men as the only ones who could dissuade him from bad decisions. You literally just said Miyamoto changed stuff because people mentioned better ideas, which is the complete opposite of the George Lucas situation.

Also, how very gracious of you to shit over Miyamoto as a person, despite that not being the point up for debate. Not a decent human being? Nice to see you still need to insult people for no reason. And how hypocritical for someone to label another as "not a decent human being", even though you don't know him personally, and don't have the right to make such a bold comment.

I have a little ill will towards Miyamoto and why he didn't really want to make another F-Zero game or that he was only going to make one if it was "innovative."

However he's done soooooooo much more good than bad it's easily overshadowed.

I get seeing why Miyamoto should quit

He's getting old, nearly everyone else is moving on, and Miyamoto should retire before the stress gets to him like Iwata

A perfect time would be to leave on a high note after the Switch is a massive success and all the young members got things handled

Miyamoto is half his own breed of utter stupidity and half your typical George Lucas delusional creator who thinks he knows better than the fans.

Also to those saying he produced BOTW, you can bet your ass the main problems with the game were his doing. The breakable weapons 'forcing people to use variety' thing reeks of classic Miyamoto brain-diarrhea. Like, the only good thing Miyamoto hasn't completely destroyed in the last decade is Pikmin 3, although with Hey! Pikmin (again with the idiotic names) and Pikmin 4 nowhere to be seen there's a good chance he's thinking of ways to fuck up the series.

I still believe Wenger has what it takes to win us a title. I know it might be naive but I look at the form we can produce at times in the season and I know that if we could just keep that up we would win the league.

With Miyamoto, what does he even do nowadays? I doubt he's still at the top having a big influence on things.

Star Fox Zero, Metroid Prime Federation Force, Paper Mario Sticker Star/Color Splash, New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy 2, Yoshi's Island, these are only some of the games where Miyamoto's involvement resulted in the series getting significantly worse. With his 'everyone can play' mentality and obsession with useless gimmicks he has spent the last 8 years systematically ripping the heart, story, characters and any complex stuff out of most Nintendo franchises.

He is a cancer for creativity, he prevented SMG2 from having a bigger story, he barely destroyed the best parts of SMG, he ruined Paper Mario in every way, gameplay, story and characters, he doomed Starfox with his shitty motion control obsession, he was one of the people guilty for Federation Force's horrible artstyle, he thought Yoshi's New Island was an Ok thing to do, he thinks easy modes are good, he thinks Mario being challenging is bad.

you dont bring any criticism/ come back with some well thought out critisim and not "he is destroying Nintendo!!"

He is a cancer for creativity, he prevented SMG2 from having a bigger story, he barely destroyed the best parts of SMG, he ruined Paper Mario in every way, gameplay, story and characters, he doomed Starfox with his shitty motion control obsession, he was one of the people guilty for Federation Force's horrible artstyle, he thought Yoshi's New Island was an Ok thing to do, he thinks easy modes are good, he thinks Mario being challenging is bad.

can you point to direct examples. again you are very vague in your response. i can tell you for sure that sticker star was the development teams having the same thoughts. they were not forced into making changes they wanted to. and SMG is regarded as one of the best games of all time lol. starfox was them using the gamepad as it was the focal point of the system. dont know what he has to do with federation force would love your explanation there same with yoshis island.

I pointed to plenty of direct examples, and SMG is one of the best games of all time, it almost wasn't because Miyamoto wanted it to be a level pack like SMG2 was.

If you're playing Mario for the story you're doing it wrong.

NSMB and SMG2 have great gameplay with great physics and level design. Miyamoto stays.

If you don't demand a full experience for a series that has had a full experience in the past, you're a tool.

SMG2 is a bland level pack with no atmosphere whatsoever. All the mystery and wonder of the first game is replaced with super mario world cheeryness.

Miyamoto is just past his prime.

He hit (near) perfection early in his career with SMB3, that's quite a burden to bear.

Super Mario World had no cherryness or story

It too was a bland level pack with no atmosphere

So SMG2 is par for the course

I do not know where this comparison came from. They do not have much in common. I am a diehard Arsenal fan and a day 1 Nintendo loyal fan. I simply do not see the connection.

  3. Is Miyamoto the Arsene wenger of the game industry?
