I didn't try, but I was one of the literally 10 people who got an NES from Amazon, so I'm guessing my luck ran out anyway

I pre ordered through Wal Mart. It says release day is Sep 29 but I can't pick it up until Oct 5? Anyone know why that would be? :/

I managed to pre-order two off Wal-Mart. One for me and one for my brother. Delivery date is Oct 7. I heard horror stories about people's NES Classic preorders being canceled though, so I'm still nervous.

More like if you stand in line hours before the store opens you'll be able to get one at Best Buy. Seriously, don't chance it, if your plan is to stroll in after opening you might end up disappointed.

When did it go up for pre-order? I set an Amazon notification to let me know when its available and didn't see any alerts unless it happened while I was sleeping?

Oh, just found out it was Walmart....
Well, even though it was only once place this is a sign of things to come.. Especially if Walmart sold out in 40 minutes in the middle of the night when most people were not aware and the site STILL crashed.

didn't bother, i'd like one, but its not worth the hassle, especially since I still have a real one and most of the games listed, and the few I don't, namely super metroid and earthbound, I have on multiple virtual consoles.
Just shut the hell up and talk about games, im so tired of the politics of gaming...

The only reason anyone should want this is for resale really. I got my preorder in and will buy as many as they let me day 1 in store. Hopefully nintendo isnt pulling a fast one and all of a sudden have a ton of stock for this lol.
