THIS IS 2017 NEED I REMIND OVER 10 YEARS AGO WE WERE ABLE TO DO THIS STUFF ON XBOX & PLAYSTATION, Not to mention 20 years ago on Pc. I can't believe it. Like really. My friend and I both spent $60 on this and can't even play together. So stupid how backwards this company is compared to the rest of the industry with things that are basic and expected on other systems. |

Splatoon 2 seems like a good game with real hype that isn't artificially generated unlike most games (BOTW).
Unfortunately Nintendo is doing everything they can to butcher it.

You have to join a game in progress. You can't start a party. Joining the game in progress can take quite a while.

Since the game was announced I sat there with an awkward smile looking to see if ANYONE else thought this was Splatoon 1.5. Last I checked, sequels were supposed to bring significant changes to keep the game fresh. Not a large balance patch...

If it weren't for the Campaign, which no one cares about, you think the same thing there. And the kicker there is Splatoon 2 has the same changes on that front. Not that it makes the chat app any less loony, but that's not likely to have been made by the Splatoon devs themselves. Who would foist a console feature on game dev team to implement, then staunchly follow it when everyone is telling you its dumb.
