It really sux for 3DS and Wii U owner.

But for Switch owner, people CAN'T tell this is a bad week.

-forma.8 seems like a weird take on the Metroidvania genre, and got great reviews all around
-Puzzles Line DX is the perfect game for Picross lover, with over 320 puzzles, and what seems to be a great slick UI
-Puzzled seems like an original take on Tetris, Neo-Geo arcade style.

Personally, I'm getting both forma.8 and Puzzle Lines DX, and I will receive my physical copy of Mario+Rabbids next Tuesday. This is an AWESOME eShop week for the Switch.

I am a fan of the Puzzler World games which have something similar to the Piczle Lines DX releasing so I may try that out, don't think it is worth $15 but may get it down the line.

Well at least we have Pok'emon Silver and Gold to look forward to next month aside from Metroid: Samus Returns. You know, that game where Nintendo expects you to go out and buy extra amiibo for a difficulty setting and sound test? Amiibos are becoming a joke now, eh?

I think you're blowing it out of proportion. You aren't "expected" to buy an amiibo, there just happens to be optional content available if you do.

Will do but in the mean time, Nintendo Life already posted a pretty positive review of the Switch version of the game:

http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/switch-eshop/forma_8

Add to that the great reviews on others consoles, it's pretty much a given that you should give this a try. At 10$, it's not a big loss on your wallet.

Hhmm. Yeah. Sucks for 3DS. But I'll be grabbing forma for Switch. Had my eye on it for a couple of weeks and, like Drac said, it got pretty good reviews on other systems and that looks to continue on Switch.

If you haven't picked up any of those Capcom games, that sale went live yesterday so there's that. Hopefully we get a few more good sales this week.

Yacht Club gives the Shovel Knight expansion for free for those who bought the game in its first years and to the backers.
Yet WayForward doesn't care about the people who bought the game when it released.

In the end, I've spent more time on Puzzle Lines DX than forma.8 (I think I really needed a new Picross-like game in my life), so I just barely played forma.8. So far, it's very minimalist, but with a great atmosphere. I sometimes have hard time navigating tight corridor due to inertia (since you're a ball floating around). But it really feels like a Metroid game indeed. It's too early though to give a final appreciation of the game.

Drac_Mazoku 2 days ago#45
I completed forma.8 100% a few minutes ago, so I will post my overall impression as I promised:

I thought it was just ok. What I really loved the exploration and the atmosphere. But it was way too slow for its own good. Each rooms are really big, and your pod is moving like a snail, and you never get anything that make you go really THAT much faster, so you're just crawling through all the games. And even then, the game is really not very long. There's no timer, but I would say maybe around 4-5 hours to 100% (or maybe less if you don't take too much time backtracking all the time). And finally the minimalist look was fine at first, but even if normally I love games with minimalist looks, this time, it really felt like a bland world. So yeah, overall, I would give the game somewhere around a 6 or 7 out of 10. Good game to go through once, and then you forget about it. If you have anything else to play, it's not really a purchase that is fully worth it.
