Now if this was a few months ago I woulda been like man that sucks... but now that I've played FO4... I'm more like meh game needs mods to be decent. Even the thought of skyrim without mod support is like uhh no thanks.
AstralFrost: What part is unique about the Wii U thats actually positive? The underpowered console? The direct ipad ripoff controller? The slew of platformers?

PS4 and XB1 are getting the exact same game but with the DLC included. You might have some kind of point if the Switch had Fallout 4 in the first place and didn't get this, but that's not the case and you're a failure for making a post like this. Also, the Switch will get new games that other systems don't get. That's how Nintendo rolls, or do you not remember the 3DS, DS, and GBA? So while you run around screaming about how the Switch isn't getting games that are already on 3 other platforms, those 3 platforms won't be getting the Switch's titles.

Man the one tower where you rescue that dude at the top... my computer came to a crawl the audio started stuttering models stopped rendering at that one point. My computer might not be top of the line, but it still plays newer games on very high settings. Bethesda just really has no idea how to make a game.

They're so great at designing games that they can sell buggy messes to millions. They could probably get FO4 running on Switch...at low settings and still buggy. I don't think its a demanding game, just not a well programmed one. Even people with high end PCs have issues.

Fallout 4 could not run on the Switch due to the limited hardware without scaling back every single art asset, something I don't know if the artists over at Bethesda thinks is worth doing. Currently Fallout 4 takes up over 4 GB of RAM on my PC running it at medium/high settings and the Switch currently has 4GB of RAM, and only 3GB of it is available for games.

I sorta get what you're trying to say, but saying a 3rd party game isn't coming to a console is very different from saying a first party game isn't coming to a console. |

I tried my cousin's Fallout 4 on my XBone. Played it for 1 hr. Didn't liked it. Gave it back to my cousin and deleted the Fallout 4 data from my XBone.
Not complaining if it does or does not come to Switch.

Because it's a third party game from a developer that is said to be supporting the system, but thus far is only doing it with a near six year old game while the other consoles are getting the goty edition of their latest game. Third party support is a very important subject for this system. It's what killed the last one because it barely got any so when games start skipping the new system it's something to take note of. Obviously saying Mario Odyssey isn't coming to PS4 would be off topic because it's an exclusive and not a title everyone else is getting.

I wasn't a fan of FO4, just wasn't my cup of tea. I might have given it another shot if the price was right, playing Fallout on the go has some appeal I must admit.

Am I the only one who has noticed that Switch versions of games are regulaily being announced seperately than announcements of games for PS4/Xbone?
The fact that Switch is NOT listed in an announcement means nothing...because on several occasions over the last few months a game will be announced for whatever system, and shortly thereafter it gets announced for Switch independent of the previous announcement. Sine Mora, Resident Evil Revelations and many others. It feels almost like Nintendo has been insisting on Switch games being announced seperate from other system announcements for the same game. So when something gets announced...and Switch isn't mentioned...that is not a confirmation of it NOT coming to Switch. Please tell me some of you are smart enough to have picked up on this trend. . |
