This is better than your PC "peasant" builds that you recommend but trash talk anyone that builds one.

When prices drop I'll pick up a 1080Ti. I currently have GTX 1070.

Why would you do that? The 1070 is is a really good card and PUBG is still horribly optimized at the moment and you buying high end hardware to jsut power through it is just stupid. Also GPU prices do not drop unless you buy used

The performance gap from a 1070 to 1080 Ti is pretty big, and if I were to buy a 1080 Ti it'll be used for a lower price. But you're right the 1070 is still a very good card.

I bet they tested 2133 vs 3000 at the same timings, though.

Here I am still sitting on 1666mhz ram......

No point in wasting money on ddr3 right now.
Whenever i decide to upgrade my cpu I'll just get the fastest one

Yeah, everyone always leaves out latency settings from these ram tests. Digital Foundry, Gamersnexus, etc.

Funny how console guys will use the words peasant and master race all the time to suit their needs, but when a pc guy does it they scream bloody murder.... wait, did I say funny? I meant sad.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

I assume that's the most representative test though. Most users probably just stick with the default settings or XMP.

And yet it doesn't matter, because if you're not playing on super ultra low settings you're at a colossal disadvantage.

I play on Low Preset (Except for Shadows / Lighting) and maintain 60fps. I don't get what you're talking about.

The test was done at ultra, which is a useless feature in PUBG.

Basically if you have Shadows and lighting up, you're disadvantaged.

Unless you're on a super strict budget I'd pretty much always recommend at least 3000mhz for DDR4. And most cases 3200mhz. That is the sweet spot basically now. After that prices spike too much to make it worth it to go higher.

Oh I didn't even watch the video. Makes sense.

It's not very representative of a stock vs OC scenario, though, and doesn't really provide the needed information on what's important to look for in RAM.
imho, the most representative test would be 3000@16, 2133@16, and 2133@12 or some such.
