CBWL 019

Wrestling Observer Live

Dave Meltzer & Bryan Alvarez June 14, 2026

Bryan Alvarez: Alright, we got a whole batch of new photos of Melissa McCarthy. She’s doing this full cheerleader gimmick now — different uniforms, different bathrooms, but the same thing every time: she’s celebrating taking a massive shit like she just won a championship. Speech bubbles saying “I JUST TOOK A HUGE SHIT!!!” pom-poms, victory poses, the whole thing. What the hell is this character?

Dave Meltzer: This is her new CBWL persona. From what I’ve been told, they’re calling her “The Victory Shitter” or something close to that internally. The whole idea is that she’s this unhinged, hyper-positive cheerleader who treats every bowel movement like a major athletic achievement. She’s proud of it. She wants everyone to know about it. She’s celebrating it like she just scored the winning touchdown.

Bryan: So it’s not just gross-out stuff anymore. It’s turned into this weird, almost motivational, toxic positivity thing but centered entirely around shitting. She’s doing the big smiles, the thumbs-up, the peace signs, the “Go Team!” energy… while covered in her own mess and standing over a destroyed toilet.

Dave: Yeah. It’s a very specific type of character. She’s playing it completely straight — like she genuinely believes taking a huge shit is something to be proud of and celebrated. The cheerleader outfit is part of the bit. She’s the ultimate supportive teammate… but her version of support is cheering on her own bowel movements like they’re Olympic events.

Bryan: How is this landing with the CBWL audience?

Dave: From what I’ve heard, it’s splitting people. Some of the hardcore fans love how far she’s leaning into the absurdity and the fetish stuff. They think it’s hilarious and unhinged in the right way. But there’s also a chunk of the audience that thinks it’s gotten too silly and cartoonish. They miss when she was more of a monster heel who just destroyed people.

Bryan: She looks completely different in these photos compared to how she was a few years ago. She’s bigger, she’s leaning into the mess, the sweat, the bruises. It feels like she’s fully committed to being this gross, chaotic cheerleader who has no shame about any of it.

Dave: That’s the key with her right now. She’s not playing someone who’s embarrassed or humiliated by this. She’s playing someone who’s proud of it. That’s a very different energy than most of the people who do this kind of content. Most of them at least pretend to be ashamed or broken by it. Melissa is out here acting like she just won gold in the Scat Olympics.

Bryan: Do you think this is sustainable long-term? Or is this just a short-term gimmick?

Dave: I think they’re testing how far they can push this “unashamed celebration of filth” thing with her. If it keeps getting reactions online, they’ll probably keep going with it. She seems willing to go as far as they want, so they’re going to keep feeding her this kind of material.

Bryan: It’s wild because on one hand it’s so stupid and over-the-top, but on the other hand it’s also one of the more unique characters they’ve had in a while. Most people in CBWL eventually break down or get humiliated. She’s out here acting like every shit is a personal victory.

Dave: Yeah. She’s not the victim in her own story. She’s the champion of it. That’s the difference with this character. And honestly, that might be why it’s working for some people. It’s not just gross — it’s got a weird, twisted kind of confidence to it.

Bryan: So in your opinion, is this the direction CBWL is heading with their bigger names now? Just fully leaning into cartoonish, unashamed degeneracy?

Dave: With Melissa, yes. She’s clearly one of the few people on the roster who’s fully bought into this world and wants to go deeper. They’re giving her the freedom to do it, and she’s running with it. Whether that’s good for the company long-term is another question.

Bryan: Yeah. We’ll see how long they can keep this up before it stops being shocking and just becomes background noise.
