Wrestling Observer Live
Dave Meltzer & Bryan Alvarez June 7, 2026 (Unfiltered)
Bryan Alvarez: Alright, let’s just be honest here. This isn’t wrestling anymore. This is porn. Like, straight-up fetish porn with wrestling camera angles and some ring spots sprinkled in.
Dave Meltzer: Yeah… I mean, at this point, calling it wrestling feels ridiculous. It’s fetish content. It’s extreme degradation and humiliation porn. They’re just using wrestling names and a ring as the setting.
Bryan: Exactly. And last night’s show was just them going as far as they could with it. The JoJo stuff was already bad enough, but the ending with Ariana Grande literally taking a shit on Kristen Bell’s face? Come on, man. That’s not wrestling. That’s not even “edgy” wrestling. That’s just scat porn on a live stream.
Dave: I agree. Once you have someone shitting on another person’s face to close your “wrestling” pay-per-view, you’ve officially left the wrestling business. This is fetish content now. Full stop.
Bryan: And the worst part is, they’re not even being subtle about it anymore. The Throat Fucking Match rules, the gloryhole spot, the porta-potty stuff, the constant emphasis on bodily fluids and degradation… this isn’t sports entertainment. This is just them producing extreme fetish porn and putting wrestling names on it so they can charge for it.
Dave: I think that’s why the JoJo angle bothered me so much. It stopped feeling like they were telling a story and started feeling like they were just breaking down a character for sexual humiliation content. And they went so far with it that it stopped being shocking and just felt mean-spirited and gross.
Bryan: Yeah, and now what? How do you follow that up? You already had someone take a shit on another person’s face on your biggest show. Are they gonna try to top that next month? Because if they do, it’s gonna get even more ridiculous. And if they don’t, then last night’s ending is just gonna feel like a one-off shock moment that didn’t lead anywhere.
Dave: The Kristen Bell heel turn was probably the only thing that still felt somewhat like wrestling storytelling. Everything else was just fetish content. The match itself was basically a long, staged sex scene with a “who pukes first” stipulation. That’s not wrestling.
Bryan: It’s not even “wrestling with porn elements” anymore. It’s porn with some wrestling presentation. And honestly, I think they’ve fully embraced that at this point. They’re not trying to be a wrestling company that does edgy stuff. They’re a fetish content company that uses wrestling as the vehicle.
Dave: Yeah. And at this point, I think we should probably just call it what it is instead of trying to analyze it like a wrestling show. Because it’s not one.
Bryan: Agreed. This is fetish porn. Plain and simple. And last night’s show was them going all-in on that.
